My Travel Photo Series: SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

When I was a sophomore in college, I was preparing to study abroad for a semester but had not settled on a particular location. Asia was a destination on the minds of the super adventurous, and the University had only two programs available there at the time: one in Hong Kong and the other in South Korea. Several students had already been trailblazers and set the way for Hong Kong and that seemed to be the destination of choice for most students, but I wondered why no one had chosen to make the leap to study in Korea. Naturally, I like a good challenge so I chose to complete a semester abroad at Sungkyunkwan University in the heart of Seoul. Needless to say, it did not take long for me to realize that this was the perfect choice: the food, the culture, the people, the sights, the sounds, the history - everything was incredible in this massive Asian metropolis and I am very proud to have called this city home for a third of the year in 2007. While I was there for quite a long time, and took hundreds of pictures, the ones below are the most memorable. Enjoy and as always feel free to direct any questions my way!
